It looks like DC Entertainment is further expanding its small screen output, with Deadline revealing that Warner Bros. Television has secured a pilot producton commitment from NBC for Powerless, a half hour single-camera workplace comedy described as The Office with superheroes.
Created by Ben Queen, Powerless takes place at “one of the worst insurance companies in America — with the twist being that it also takes place in the universe of DC Comics. The show is about the reality of working life for a normal, powerless person in a world of superheroes and villains.”
The site reports that it is yet to be decided which superheroes will feature in the show, but it’s unlikely to include A-listers like Batman and Superman.
