Five more join J.K Simmons and Emile Hirsch in The Runaround

August 7, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Five more actors have been added to the line-up for new comedy The Runaround, with Analeigh Tipton (Two Night Stand), Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live), Jon Daly (Masterminds), Shannon Woodward (The Veil) and Hunter Parrsh (Weeds) all signing on to the caper, which is directed by Gavin Wiesen (The Art of Getting By).

The new additions join the previously announced Oscar winner J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Emile Hirsch (Into The Wild) and Kristen Schaal (Bob’s Burgers).

In the film, Simmons plays a “workaholic father who while trying to visit his daughter on a last minute layover in Los Angeles, discovers that she’s disappeared. He’s forced to work with her awkward, nervous ex-boyfriend (Hirsch), still nursing a broken heart, to help him find her over the course of one increasingly crazy night.”

No official release date has yet been announced, but expect to see it in 2016.
