Ian McShane joins Game of Thrones season 6

August 2, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Emmy Award-winning actor Ian McShane (Deadwood, Ray Donovan) has joined the cast of HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thrones for its upcoming sixth season.

SEE ALSO: Game of Thrones will run for at least eight seasons

Although character details are being kept tightly under wraps, Entertainment Weekly is suggesting that McShane will have “a relatively small amount of screen-time during the season, yet his character is of key importance.”

The sixth season of Game of Thrones is currently in production, and the show will return to HBO in the Spring.
