1966 Batmobile goes on sale for $5 million

September 10, 2015 by Gary Collinson

If you fancy taking to the streets as the Caped Crusader and have a bank balance to rival that of Bruce Wayne, then you may be interested to hear that the iconic Batmobile from the classic 1966 Batman TV series is up for sale for a cool $5 million.

Built by celebrated customiser George Barris using Ford’s one-off 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car, the Batmobile last changed hands back in 2013 for $4.2 million, and is now on sale at the Barrett-Jackson Collection Showroom in Arizona.
