Hayley Atwell confirms Dottie return for Agent Carter season 2

September 10, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Speaking at Fan Expo in Canada (via CBR), Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell has confirmed that Bridget Regan’s Dottie Underwood will be returning for the second season of ABC’s Marvel series.

“Oh, she’s a slippery bitch,” said Atwell when asked about Peggy’s nemesis. “We haven’t seen the last of her. Peggy has male baddies that she fights, but to have someone who is physically her equal — she’s a Black Widow, incredibly capable and very smart — I think that shows some balance for Peggy, like a flip side of the same coin. You’ll see more of her in season two.”

Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

Season 2 of Agent Carter will air during the midseason break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3, with Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter), James D’Arcy (Edwin Jarvis), Enver Gjokaj (Agent Daniel Sousa) and Bridget Regan (Dottie Underwood) confirmed as returning and Chad Michael Murray (Agent Jack Thompson) and Lyndsy Fonseca (Angie Martinelli) both expected to reprise their roles.
