Back in May, Fox announced that it has tapped Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) to write and direct an X-Men spinoff based around the young team of heroes, the New Mutants.
Well, it looks like development is progressing well, as Boone has now taken to Twitter today to reveal that he and co-writer Knate Lee have completed the first draft of the screenplay.
As yet, there’s no word on a potential release date for New Mutants, but assuming it moves ahead the film will join an expanding list of X-Men spinoffs which includes the upcoming Deadpool and Gambit movies.
