Xena reboot finds a writer

Back in July, it was reported that NBC is developing a “modern reboot” of Xena: Warrior Princess, and now Entertainment Weekly has revealed that the project has secured a writer.

The site is reporting that Javier Grillo-Marxuach has signed on to script the series, having previously written for the likes of Lost, Helix and Medium.

The Xena reboot is being developed by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, although there’s no word yet whether Tapert’s husband and original Xena star Lucy Lawless will feature in the new series.
