Amber Heard in talks for Mera role in Aquaman and Justice League

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Amber Heard (Magic Mike XXL) is in talks to play Jason Momoa’s love-interest Mera in the upcoming Aquaman movie from director James Wan (Fast & Furious 7).

The character, who was introduced to the DC Comics universe in 1963, will make her first appearance in Justice League Part One, which is being directed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice helmer Zack Snyder.

Aquaman is currently on dual-track development, with David Leslie Johnson (The Conjuring 2) penning one possible script, and Kurt Johnstad (300) the other. It is slated for release on July 28th 2018, with Justice League Part One preceding it on November 17th 2017.
