Kim Basinger joins Fifty Shades Darker as Christian Grey’s ex

Universal Pictures has announced that Kim Basinger has signed on to appear in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey sequel Fifty Shades Darker, where she’ll play the character of Elena Lincoln, a business partner and former lover of Christian Grey.

Fifty Shades Darker sees James Foley taking over directing duties from Sam Taylor-Johnson, while both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will reprise their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Fifty Shades Darker is set for release on February 10th 2017, with the third and final movie Fifty Shades Freed slated for February 9th 2018.
