Amber Heard confirms Mera role in Justice League

March 18, 2016 by Gavin Logan

Back in January it was rumoured that Amber Heard was in talks to star as Mera, Aquaman’s wife in the DC comics and now she has confirmed the role. In an interview with ET during promotional work for her latest flick The Adderall Diaries, Heard confirmed that the rumours were true and she also gave up some minor details about her costume.

“It’s interesting. It’s like, half suit of armor, half scales,” Heard revealed. “It’s strange… We’re in the process of building it now, so it’s coming along.”

Although she didn’t give up any further information it’s great to finally get confirmation and the 29 year old actress seems extremely excited by the prospect of appearing in the DC cinematic universe.

Heard will first appear as Mera in Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Part One which is due out November 17 2017 and then she will appear in the James Wan directed Aquaman solo movie alongside Jason Momoa in July 2018.
