Video Game Preview – Overcooked

July 17, 2016 by Lewy Buck

Lewy Buck previews Overcooked…

Back in April I was lucky enough to have Overcooked wet my pallet at EGX Rezzed at London’s Tobacco Dock; it received some amazing feedback and even placed in the top five games over the weekend Rivalling developers such as Sony and Sega. Check out my video review for Overcooked below…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EAPn9vbEmY&feature=youtu.be

Pros

– Simple, colourful and gorgeous artsyle

– Very nice acoustic soundtrack

– Complete chaos! (The good kind)

– Endless Multiplayer fun

– Family friendly

Cons

– Single Player can get tedious (Always play with friends)

– Mouse and Keyboard controls are a bit clunky

Rating – 8/10

Overcooked is a chaotic couch co-op cooking game for one to four players. Working as a team, you and your fellow chefs must prepare, cook and serve up a variety of tasty orders before the baying customers storm out in a huff. Sharpen your knives and dust off your chef’s whites, there isn’t mushroom for error and the steaks are high in these crazy kitchens!

Overcooked will be available to purchase through the Steam store on August 3rd.
