Pretty Little Liars to end with season seven

August 29, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Fans of Pretty Little Liars will be saying goodbye to Rosewood next year, with showrunner Marlene King announcing that the show will come to an end next year as season seven wraps up with a final batch of ten episodes.

“It’s been an honor to work with such a talented cast and crew over the last seven years,” said King. “We are a family, and it will be hard to say goodbye to a show that has made such an impact on young audiences and been a mouthpiece for cultural change. I’m excited for fans to finally have all of their questions answered, and I believe they will be satisfied with the wild ride that is our last ten episodes.”

King and cast members Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse also shared the announcement on Facebook live post.

The midseason finale airs tomorrow night, and season seven will resume in April 2017, before wrapping things up with a two-hour series finale.
