Daniel Craig reportedly offered $150 million to return as 007 for two more Bond movies

September 5, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The Bond saga rolls on. Just days after an alleged shortlist for the next 007 emerged online, Radar Online is now reporting that Daniel Craig has reportedly been offered $150 million to reprise the role for two more movies, which will be shot “virtually back-to-back”.

This is similar to a rumour that surfaced back in May, where it was said Craig had turned down a $100 million offer and had already made up his mind to retire from the role. However, the BBC shot down that report as false, and said Craig was yet to make up his mind about extending his stay as the super spy following last year’s Spectre.

Of course, $150 million is considerably more than $100 million – especially in this post-Brexit world.

Bond 25 is yet to be officially announced, but we’ve had close to a year of speculation as to who will be wielding the Walther PPK when 007 returns to the big screen. The most recent names said to be in contention as a replacement for Craig include Idris Elba (Luther), Michael Fassbender (The Light Between Oceans), Tom Hiddleston (The Night Manager), Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6),  Aidan Turner (Poldark), Jamie Bell (Fantastic Four) and James Norton (War & Peace).

Would you like to see Craig back as Bond, or is it time for some fresh blood? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
