The CW brings in new writer for Clive Barker’s Weaveworld adaptation

October 25, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Last year it was announced that Clive Barker was executive producing a TV adaptation of his 1987 novel Weaveworld alongside Jack Kenny (Warehouse 13), although the script did not make it to pilot.

Well, it looks like The CW is now taking a secodn stab at the fantasy horror, with Deadline revealing that Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D) has now signed on to pen a new script, which still has Barker involved as EP.

The project is said to be a priority for the network, and will follow “two ordinary people who find themselves on a quest to find and protect a magical realm and ultimately to save all of humanity from an evil force.”
