Writers room assembled for Sherlock Holmes 3

October 29, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Robert Downey Jr. is currently preparing to reprise the role of Tony Stark for Avengers: Infinity War, and it looks like he could follow that by returning to another of his past characters, with Variety reporting that a writers room has been assembled for Sherlock Holmes 3.

It was revealed earlier this year that Downey, co-star Jude Law and director Guy Ritchie were keen to reunite for a third Sherlock Holmes movie, with Warner Bros. bringing in screenwriter James Coyne (Treasure Island) to pen a draft of the script.

Well, it seems the studio has now opted to go down the increasingly popular writers room route, enlisting Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Justin Malen (Baywatch), Gary Whitta (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Geneva Dworet-Robertson (Tomb Raider) and Kieran Fitzgerald (Snowden) to shape the story and script for the third instalment.

Are you excited about the prospect of Sherlock Holmes 3? Let us know in the comments below…
