Ewen Bremner plays a “shellshocked soldier” on a secret mission in Wonder Woman

January 30, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Ewen Bremner is currently doing interview rounds for T2 Trainspotting (read our review here) but Digital Spy got a hold of him for some tantalizing details on the character he will be playing in this summer’s Wonder Woman.

“I play a character who’s enlisted by Wonder Woman to help save the world as part of a small, unlikely band,” said Bremner. “He’s a shellshocked soldier who’s been discharged from the war and is brought back to help on a secret mission.”

Bremner was glimpsed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the 1918 photo of Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince, alongside Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, Said Taghmaoui’s unrevealed character, and a mystery man…

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman will hit cinemas on June 2nd, 2017 with a cast that includes Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (The Theory of Everything), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), Said Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Force Majeure) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).
