Hugh Jackman doesn’t rule out a Deadpool/Wolverine movie

January 3, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Over the past few weeks, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has been trying to convince his X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman to delay his retirement as Logan in order to bring Wolverine and the Merc with a Mouth together for what is surely one of – if not the – most tantalizing prospects in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men universe.

Jackman has previously revealed that he plans on hanging up the claws this March with the release of the solo sequel Logan after fifteen years in the role; however, speaking to Variety, he’s given the first hint that he may be open to another outing.

“I’m hesitating, because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit,” responded Jackman, when asked about the possibility of postponing his retirement to link up with Reynolds for a Deadpool and Wolverine movie. “But the timing may be wrong.”

“I have no idea if I can change his mind,” added Reynolds. “It’s the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.”

Should Jackman opt against a Deadpool/Wolverine movie, we’ll see him as Wolverine one last time on March 3rd with the release of Logan.
