True Blood star Stephen Moyer joins X-Men TV show

February 28, 2017 by Robert Kojder

With Legion currently airing on television, attention seems to have turned to casting for the next untitled X-Men TV show, and it has been announced that Stephen Moyer has landed a lead role in the Fox and Marvel pilot.

The character is being described as a father and lawyer named Reed who learns that his children are mutants, meaning he and his family find themselves on the run from the government.

Moyer has proven he can carry the load of an entire series, previously having starred in HBO’s highly successful modern-day vampire series True Blood.

Moyer joins a cast that includes Blair Redford (Switched at Birth) as Sam, “the strong-headed Native American leader of the underground mutant network”, and Jamie Chung (Gotham) as Clarice Fong, a.k.a. Blink. Frequent X-Men feature director Bryan Singer is helming the pilot.
