Leslie Uggams returning as Blind Al in Deadpool 2

April 20, 2017 by Jordan Jones

Some of the funnier moments in Deadpool were also the least action-packed. There is just something magical about Wade Wilson sitting in his living room with elderly roommate Blind Al, complaining about Ikea furniture. Lucky for us, it looks like Blind Al will also be making an appearance in the upcoming Deadpool 2. Blackfilm.com was able to confirm her return while speaking to actress Leslie Uggams at an HBO afterparty:

“At the afterparty for HBO’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, which stars Oprah Winfrey and features Uggams in a supportive role, I spoke to Ms. Uggams and asked if she will be returning to the sequel, and she replied, “Definitely.'”

Here’s hoping for more delightful roommate conversations involving varied topics such as chimichangas, Ikea, and narcotics!

Deadpool 2 will see David Leitch (John Wick) directing while the cast includes returning stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson),  Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al) and Karan Soni (Dopinder) alongside new additions Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino and Josh Brolin (Avengers: Infinity War) as Cable.
