Sandra Bullock set for action thriller Cash Truck

May 18, 2017 by Gary Collinson

In more news coming out of Cannes, Deadline is reporting that Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock has signed on to star in Cash Truck, which is being directed by Jose Wladyka (Manos Sucias, Narcos) from a script by Ethan Erwin, Albert Hughes, and John Hodge.

Inspired by the 2004 French film Le Convoyeur, Cash Truck will see Bullock as Alexa, “an American who has fallen on hard times, and starts a job at a London armored car company that was the recent target of a deadly heist. She works her way into the confidence of the tight-knit crew and we discover that there is much more to Alex than it seems. As she goes to dangerous and morally complicated lengths to pursue her own mysterious agenda, an explosive secret from Alex’s past surfaces propelling the story in shocking, thrilling new directions.”

Bullock will next be seen in 2018’s Ocean’s Eight, where she stars alongside Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter.
