Dwayne Johnson announces Rampage has wrapped production

July 11, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Dwayne Johnson has announced via social media that production on the much-anticipated adaptation of the popular video game franchise Rampage has wrapped. He also comments on the experience working with his costar, Oscar-nominated actress Naomie Harris. Check out his Instagram post here…

Not surprisingly, Dwayne Johnson continues to prove that he is a rare class act among the Hollywood elite. He’s always filled with smiles and optimism for whatever project he is currently dedicated to making a success. Good movies or bad movies, no one can take away the commitment Dwayne Johnson puts forth to each film along with his easy-going personality among co-stars.

“Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.”

Rampage reunites Dwayne Johnson with his Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas director Brad Peyton, and also features Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Malin Akerman (Billions), Marley Shelton (Solace), Jake Lacy (The Office), Breanne Hill (Incarnate), P.J. Byrne (Big Little Lies), Jack Quaid (Vinyl), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) and Matt Gerald (Daredevil). It is set for release on April 20th 2018.
