R.I.P. John Heard (1945 – 2017)

Actor John Heard, known for his iconic role as Macaulay Culkin’s oblivious father in the first two Home Alone films, has passed away. He was 72. A cause of death is yet to be revealed.

Heard has been a veteran of the film and television industry since the 1980s, starring in a variety of films and television shows. One of his most other well known roles was opposite Tom Hanks in Big as Paul Davenport, a corporate rival at the toy company. His career on television was a long one, starring in supporting roles in Prison Break, The Client and CSI: Miami. He received an Emmy nomination for his performance as the corrupt Detective Vin Makazian in The Sopranos‘ first season. He even starred in the very first Sharknado movie. His most recent role was as a guest star in the TV series Outsiders.
