Fan art combines Josh Brolin’s Thanos and Cable

August 8, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Yesterday Ryan Reynolds unveiled the first look at Josh Brolin’s Cable for the upcoming Deadpool 2 [take a look here], and seeing as the actor also plays Thanos in the Avengers franchise (set to show off his power for the first time and unleash mass destruction on Earth in Avengers: Infinity War), it was only a matter of time before some fan art surfaced mashing the two characters together into one creative vision. Check out the work from Photoshop artist Bosslogic here…

As can be seen, the general look of the design resembles Cable albeit equipped with Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet. It’s definitely something cool and unique to create considering that Josh Brolin is charting new ground playing two major Marvel characters at the same time.

Deadpool 2 sees David Leitch (John Wick) directing a cast that includes returning stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al) and Karan Soni (Dopinder) alongside new additions Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino, Josh Brolin (Avengers: Infinity War) as Cable, Jack Kesy (The Strain) as the film’s villain, and Shioli Kutsuna (The Outsider) and Julian Dennison (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) in as-yet-unrevealed roles. It is set for release on June 1st 2018.
