Super Troopers 2 finally gets release date, plot details and cast revealed

August 19, 2017 by Ricky Church

Fans of Broken Lizard’s Super Troopers can rejoice as the cult comedy finally has a release date for the sequel. Super Troopers 2 will arrive on the very appropriate date of April 20, 2018.

The sequel reunites the main cast of Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske as highway patrolmen Thornly, Farva, Mac, Foster and Rabbit respectively. Chandrasekhar will also return to the director’s chair for the sequel. Also coming back from the original film are Brian Cox as Captain John O’Hagen, Marisa Coughlan as Officer Ursula Hanson and Lynda Carter as Vermont Governor Jessman.

Joining them in the film will be Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rob Lowe, Will Sasso, Tyler Labine and Hayes MacArthur. Lowe will be playing the mayor of a Quebec town while the others roles are unknown.

When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers — Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit, and Farva — are called in to set up a new Highway patrol station in the disputed area. Unconventional police work follows, and the result is Super Troopers 2.
