The Punisher might introduce another Marvel hero

August 28, 2017 by Jordan Jones

We just received our first-look at The Punisher in the form of a brief teaser, but beyond that, we are actually fairly in the dark. We don’t know the specifics of the The Punisher’s plot, aside from knowing that it will be very violent, and will not go out of its way to portray Frank Castle as a hero.

However, we may have just received something of note. According to MCU Exchange, who attended the recent Asia Pop Comic-Con, C.B. Cebulski — Marvel’s Senior Vice President of Creator and Content Development — dropped a very interesting piece of information:

“… another Marvel hero may be showing up [in The Punisher].”

Who could this be? No way to tell. It’s logical to think that he is simply teasing a member of The Defenders, and that this is just another cross-over. Now, who could that be? It would be pretty interesting to see Luke Cage cross paths with Frank Castle. Daredevil is such an obvious guess, but the two have such a history that he’s hardly worth the tease if that was the case. OR… and this is just conjecture… it could be a new addition entirely. Maybe this character will be the first kernel of The Punisher’s own, personal slice of the Marvel Netflix-verse.

Any theories as to who this Marvel hero could be? Let us know in the comments below!

The Punisher features a cast that includes Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Ben Barnes (Billy Russo), Jason R Moore (Curtis Hoyle), Michael Nathanson (Sam Stein), Daniel Webber (Lewis Walcott), Amber Rose Revah (Dinah Madani), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Micro), Jaime Ray Newman (Sarah Lieberman), Paul Schulze (Bill Rawlins) and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
