My Little Pony: The Movie trailer introduces Emily Blunt’s Tempest Shadow

USA Today has debuted a new trailer for the upcoming animated musical My Little Pony: The Movie which introduces Emily Blunt’s villainous Tempest Shadow; check it out below…

A new dark force threatens Ponyville, and the Mane 6 – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity – embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship to save their home.

Look forward to hearing the likes of Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Peña, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba and Zoe Saldana and Friendship is Magic series regulars Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain and Cathy Weseluck lend their voices to the project. Jayson Thiessen will direct a script written by Meghan McCarthy and Rita Hsiao, and the film will fly into theaters on October 6th in the US and October 20th in the UK.
