Mike Colter teases Heroes for Hire in Luke Cage season 2

October 20, 2017 by Gary Collinson

As revealed earlier this month, Mike Colter’s Power Man won’t be the only Defender appearing in the second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage, with Finn Jones set to reprise his role as Iron Fist in what could potentially be the start of the two characters’ Heroes for Hire partnership.

While details on Jones’ level of involvement are being kept under wraps, Colter has been chatting to Black Film about Danny Rand’s inclusion in the new season:

“He will bring some fresh blood in the new season and I’m hoping that people will respond to it well,” said Colter. “We are teamed up for a bit. That’s the whole point of bringing that flavor to it. I can see how this works. That’s what good about it. We’re giving people what they want. A lot of times people wanted to see Jessica Jones and Luke and what happens to them; but we went out on a limb, and decided to ‘let’s give a little Heroes for Hire somewhere in the season and see what happens.’ Hopefully people will respond to it.”

And if people do respond to it, does that mean the already announced second season of Iron Fist could become a Heroes for Hire series? We’ll have to wait and see, but given the reception to the first season of Danny’s solo series, it must certainly be a possibility.
