Dogs rule and cats drool in the latest expansion for The Sims 4 PLUS news for Xbox One and PS4 owners

November 10, 2017 by Andrew Newton

We all love our dogs and cats and it goes without saying that having one of these furry companions is a rewarding experience.  Now, thanks to Electronic Arts and Maxis, our sims can enjoy the pleasures of having a a dog or cat in The Sims 4 with the release of the Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack.  If you fancy having a look at the pleasure these furry friends can give our Sims then watch the new trailer below…

In the Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack players can create their own pet with the new Create A Pet tool.  There is a wide range of cat and dog breeds to choose from or, if you prefer, you can create a mongrel and give your pet its own unique look.  Should you be one of those people who like to put dresses on your cat then this expansion will cater for your guilty pleasure with lots of fun outfits available.  As well as getting to train and play with your pets this expansion makes it possible to open up your own veterinary practice and protect and care for the animals in the neighbourhood.

“We know how much the community loves their real-life cats and dogs, and we’re so happy they can now bring their beloved four-legged companions into their Sims’ world,” said Lyndsay Pearson, Executive Producer on The Sims. “Cats and dogs have always been such a huge component to any Sims installment, and we’re so excited to finally bring these lovable friends into The Sims 4.”

Along with the release of this new expansion for PC fans Electronic Arts have also announced that The Sims 4 will arrive on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on the 17th November.  The console release will also be accompanied by a selection of expansions that will be available for individual purchase.  These expansions include: City Living Expansion Pack, The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack, The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Pack and The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack.  There will also be a number of additional content updates added to the base game such as pools, new careers, and a toddlers’ life stage.
