Frank Grillo and Mel Gibson to star in Groundhog Day-inspired action thriller Boss Level

November 15, 2017 by Ricky Church

Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and Mel Gibson (Daddy’s Home 2) are set to star in the action thriller Boss Level from director Joe Carnahan (The Grey), according to Deadline.

The film will be a Groundhog Day-inspired action thriller from a script Carnahan also wrote. The film’s premise reads: “Every day, a retired special forces veteran (Grillo) is trapped in a never-ending loop resulting in his death. In order to stop his endless suffering, he must figure out who is responsible and stop them.”

Boss Level will begin production next year. Gibson can currently be seen in Daddy’s Home 2 while Carnahan and Grillo have been working together on their remake of The Raid.
