Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2-inspired DLC released for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2

December 19, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Fans of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be excited to hear that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced the release of a new DLC featuring a brand new level and characters inspired by the excellent Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.  This new DLC is available as part of the Season Pass or can be purchased separately.

The opening scene to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 where the heroes fight the Abilisk is the inspiration for the brand new level and the DLC also provides five new playable characters to play through it with.  These new characters are: Star-Lord (variant), Kraglin, Stakar Ogord, Tullk, Rocket (Ravager variant) and Ego with each having their own unique special abilities.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 DLC is just one of several new packs that will be released for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 and available as part of the game’s season pass.  The Season Pass, featuring six Level Packs and four Character Packs is available to purchase for £11.99.  It also comes as part of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an all-new, epic adventure and sequel to the smash hit, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. This original branching storyline, co-written by comic book veteran Kurt Busiek, transports players into a cosmic battle across a myriad of Marvel locations ripped from time and space into the incredible open hub world of Chronopolis. Packed with signature LEGO humor for fans of all ages, gamers will go head-to-head with the time-travelling Kang the Conqueror through Ancient Egypt, The Old West, Sakaar, New York City in 2099 and many other Marvel settings.
