Creed 2 casts Florian Munteanu as Ivan Drago’s son

January 16, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

It might take more than a few shuttle runs up a set of Philly stairs for Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed after he takes a look at his opponent in Steven Caple Jr’s Creed 2.

Sylvester Stallone broke the news via his Instagram account that 27 year-old boxer Florian Munteanu would complete the headline bout as Ivan Drago’s son. “6 feet four, 245 pounds of talent” is how the Rocky legend described him, although words are hardly necessary for the boxer, who’s nicknamed ‘Big Nasty’.

Congratulations to Florian “ Big Nasty” Munteanu for getting the part as IVAN DRAGOS son! 27 years old , 6 feet four, 245 pounds of talent.#mgm #creed #creed2

Creed 2 will star Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, and the returning Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago. The plot will focus on a match between Drago’s son and Adonis, whose own father died at the gloves of the Soviet slugger in Rocky IV.
