WWE’s Paige reportedly forced to end wrestling career due to injury

January 12, 2018 by Liam Hoofe

Some sad news to start the weekend with- according to a report from PWInsider, WWE superstar Paige is being forced to end her career as a wrestler due to an injury sustained at a house show last month.

Paige was seen on this week’s Raw but reports suggest she was told during the show that she was finished as an in-ring performer. Reports are suggesting that the situation is similar to that of Edge back in 2011.

Paige has never been far from the headlines throughout her career and the last 12 months have been a turbulent time for the British born star. Hopefully, her recent alliance with Absolution can see her remain in the company as on-screen presence. The former Women’s champion is credited as being one of the wrestlers who spearheaded the Women’s revolution in the company and was many fans’ pick to walk away as the winner of the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble.

Paige recently returned to television after a long absence due to a previous injury. She is also the subject of an upcoming movie Fighting With My Family produced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and featuring Florence Pugh as the young wrestler.

There is still no official confirmation from the WWE or Paige herself concerning the issue, so there is a slight chance these reports are false.
