Don’t forget the Overwatch free weekend

February 13, 2018 by Andrew Newton

For those of you who didn’t know, or if you have simply forgot (comes with old age, trust me) then Blizzard Entertainment are offering gamers on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC the opportunity to play Overwatch for free this weekend.  From the 16th – 19th February players can suit up and get into the thick of the action.

Prospective agents can suit up and take advantage of Overwatch‘s full roster of 26 heroes including Soldier: 76, Tracer, McCree and the ever popular hyper intelligent gorilla, Winston.  Players will be able to level up their characters, earn Loot Boxes and unlock a variety of different customisation options.

During this free weekend there will be 16 maps available to battle it out on and a good variety of game modes to experience including Quick Play, Custom Games and the Arcade.  Also, anybody who decides to purchase Overwatch after playing will get to keep any progress that has been made during the weekend providing they use the same gamer account.

The Overwatch free weekend will start at 11am PT (7pm if in the UK) on 16th February.  Remember, players on console will also need to have an Xbox Live Gold membership or PlayStation Plus membership to play online.

Let us know if you will be downloading and playing this weekend…
