Watch Michael Rooker’s Yondu cameo in Thor: Ragnarok ‘deleted scene’

February 25, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

He may have sacrificed himself in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but the home-entertainment release of Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok features another brief appearance from Michael Rooker’s Yondu, who returns from beyond the grave to make a cameo in the following ‘deleted scene’:

In case you couldn’t tell from the video, Yondu hasn’t been drinking the Agent Coulson resurrection juice, but rather Michael Rooker just happened to be nearby shooting material for Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! and decided to stop by the Ragnarok set to have a little fun. Here’s Guardians director James Gunn and Rooker himself to explain:

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk.
