THR is reporting that Whoopi Goldberg has joined Tiffany Haddish (Girl’s Trip), Tika Sumpter (A Madea Christmas) and Omari Hardwick (Power) in the cast of The List, a new comedy from writer-director Tyler Perry.
The List follows follows Danica (Sumpter), a woman “who is forced to accept that she may be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend whom she has never met in person, when her wild sister (Haddish) gets released from prison and re-enters her life.”
Paramount Players is producing The List, which is set for release on November 2nd 2018. Meanwhile Perry’s latest film Acrimony – starring Taraji P. Henson, Lyriq Bent, Ajiona Alexus, Crystle Stewart – is set for release in the U.S. on March 30th.
