Gabriel Luna is the new Terminator, Natalia Reyes joins cast

April 14, 2018 by Ricky Church

James Cameron and director Tim Miller have found the next Terminator to plague Sarah and John Connor. According to Deadline, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actor Gabriel Luna will be the new Terminator in the latest Terminator reboot. Luna starred as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in the fourth season of Marvel series.

Additionally, Natalia Reyes (Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas) has joined the film in an unknown role. This comes just a few days after Diego Boneta (Scream Queens) was also cast in a mystery key role for the film, though it was reported he’ll be portraying a human character.

Luna and Reyes join fellow franchise newcomer Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049) while Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton are both on board to reprise their iconic roles as the T-800 and Sarah Connor respectively.

The as-yet-untitled Terminator 6 is being directed by Deadpool helmer Tim Miller, with James Cameron returning to the franchise as producer with Skydance’s David Ellison. Cameron will regain the full rights to the franchise next year after he sold them for just $1 in order to direct the original film. Terminator 6 will serve as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, ignoring the later sequels.

The movie was recently pushed back from its original July 26th, 2019 release date and will now open on November 22nd 2019.
