Wade Wilson demands your silence, but a major Deadpool 2 secret cameo may have been revealed

May 10, 2018 by Gary Collinson

With Wade Wilson set to make his big screen return next week, the Merc with a Mouth has taken a leaf of out Thanos’ book and demanding our sister silence when it comes to spoilers for Deadpool 2. Unfortunately, not everyone got the memo in time, as details on a major secret cameo may have leaked online. If you don’t want to risk spoilers yourself, don’t read on below Deadpool’s message…

And now, onto the possible spoilers…

So, you may have come across the theory that Deadpool, Domino, Bedlam, Shatterstar, Zeitgeist and Peter are not the only members of Wade’s X-Force team, and that the crew also includes an invisible mutant, as (not) seen parachuting from the plane in the trailer here…

And wearing said parachute alongside Deadpool in the recent poster…

Well, if a report from MCUCosmic is to be believed, there is indeed an invisible mutant in the film, Vanisher, who in the comic books is usually depicted as an enemy of the X-Men (and isn’t invisible). In the film however he’ll be part of X-Force, and will briefly become visible at one point in the movie, where we’ll see him portrayed by Brad Pitt.

Interestingly, Pitt came close to being cast in the role of Cable before Josh Brolin, with concept art produced showing how he might have looked in the role. Pitt’s schedule didn’t work out, but it’s certainly possible that he managed to squeeze in a quick cameo.

Marvel’s motormouth mercenary is back! Bigger, better and occasionally more pantless than ever before. When a super soldier arrives on a murderous mission, Deadpool is forced to think about friendship, family and what it really means to be a hero – all while kicking 50 shades of ass. Because, sometimes, to do the right thing you need to fight dirty.

Deadpool 2 sees David Leitch (John Wick) directing a cast that includes returning stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al) and Karan Soni (Dopinder) alongside new additions Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino, Josh Brolin (Avengers: Infinity War) as Cable, Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Bedlam, Lewis Tan (Iron Fist) as Shatterstar, Bill Skarsgard (It) as Zeitgeist, Rob Delaney (Catastrophe), Julian Dennison (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) as Russell, Jack Kesy (The Strain) as the film’s villain, and Shioli Kutsuna (The Outsider) and Eddie Marsan (Atomic Blonde) in as-yet-unrevealed roles. It is set for release on May 15th 2018 in the UK and May 18th in North America.
