Uma Thurman to star in Netflix’s supernatural series Chambers

May 30, 2018 by Ricky Church

Netflix has cast Kill Bill star Uma Thurman in the upcoming supernatural series Chambers. The series was created by Leah Rachel who will co-showrun with Luke Cage‘s Akela Cooper and will be produced by Stephen Gaghan, the Oscar-winning writer of Traffic.

Chambers centers on a young heart attack survivor who becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor’s sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased — some of which are troublingly sinister.

Thurman is set to play Nancy, the heart donor’s mother who forges a hesitant relationship with the young recipient only to find her daughter may not be as dead as she thought.

Chambers was picked up for a 10-episode straight-to-series-order by Netflix and will be executive produced by Gaghan via Super Emotional alongside Rachel and Cooper as well as Wolfgang Hammer and Winnie Kemp of Super Deluxe. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (The Current War) will direct the pilot and executive produce.
