Jason Blum says Jordan Peele “flirting with the idea” of Get Out 2

Jordan Peele scored a huge success with his first directorial offering, the horror-thriller Get Out, which proved to be a smash hit with fans and critics alike, and saw the actor and comedian receiving the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, as well as nominations for Best Picture and Best Director.

Peele is currently hard at work on his next film Us, which reteams him with Blumhouse Productions and stars Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaids Tale), and Winston Duke (Black Panther).

Following that, could we see him returning for a sequel to Get Out? Well, according to Blumhouse’s Jason Blum, it’s definitely a possibility:

“If Jordan wants to do a sequel, I’ll do it in a second, but it has to come from Jordan Peele,” said the Blumhouse founder. “I think he’s flirting with the idea.”

Peele has previously indicated that he is open to a second Get Out, stating back in February that: “I will definitely, seriously consider it. I love that universe and feel like there is more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends… you know the movie.”
