Nintendo Switch takes us to Another World this June

June 7, 2018 by Andrew Newton

The classic 1991 cinematic platforming action adventure game Another World is making its way to the Nintendo Switch and will arrive on the 25th June.  Originally designed by Éric Chahi, this groundbreaking platformer is being developed by DotEmu in partnership with The Digital Lounge and both are working closely with Chahi to ensure the Switch version stays true to the original.

The original game sets the scene for the whole adventure and saw Lester Knight Chaykin, a brilliant young physicist, arrive at his lab to perform an experiment, when the lab is struck by lightning the experiment results in an unintended particle fusion causing a hole in the fabric of space and time to an alien world through which the anomaly pulls Lester.

In the game players would control Lester through a variety of hazardous locations on this alien world, defeating dangerous creatures, avoiding hostile aliens and overcoming cunningly designed puzzles in a bid to get home.

Another World is a challenging and gripping adventure that will see you play through to very end.

The actor plays the part of Lester Knight Chaykin, a young physics researcher. While he is right in the middle of doing experiments, his laboratory is struck by lighting and completely destroyed, hurling him into another world, a world populated by humanoid creatures, where danger can spring at any moment.

You must escape from this strange civilization. You will nonetheless meet a companion who will soon become your ally and help you in this merciless fight

Look out for Another World arriving on the Nintendo Switch on the 25th June.
