Paramount drops Jeffrey Tambor from animated movie Wonder Park

June 25, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Having been dropped from Transparent earlier this year following allegations of harassment, it is now being reported that Paramount Pictures has also decided to replace Jeffrey Tambor in its upcoming animated film Wonder Park.

“Jeffrey Tambor is not part of the final voice cast for ‘Wonder Park,” said a Paramount spokesperson to The Wrap. “During production, we came to the decision that it was in the best interests of the film to go in a different direction. The character of Boomer the Bear is now voiced by the very talented Ken Hudson Campbell.”

Campbell is also directing Wonder Park, which tells the “story of a girl, some animals, and a magic amusement park.” It is set for release in March 2019 and also features a voice cast that includes Sofia Mali, Jennifer Garner, Kenan Thompson, Mila Kunis, John Oliver, Ken Jeong and Matthew Broderick.

While Tambor has been axed from Transparent and Wonder Park, Netflix has confirmed that he remains part of the cast for the upcoming fifth season of Arrested Development, reprising his role as George Bluth Sr.
