The Expanse thanks fans for saving the show in new video

July 21, 2018 by Ricky Church

Earlier this year, SyFy cancelled The Expanse to the disappointment of the show’s fans. However, after a vocal campaign for the show to be saved by another network, Amazon Studios decided to pick the series up and give it a fourth season. At the Amazon Prime Video panel at the San Diego Comic Con, they revealed a special video in which the cast and creators of The Expanse thank the fans for their help in giving the series a second life. Watch below…

The Expanse is based on the book series written by James S. A. Corey, the pen name for writers Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. It depicts a rag tag crew uncovering a conspiracy spanning the Solar System as tension rises between Earth, Mars and the outer colonies. The TV series was created byMark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Children of Men) and stars Steven Strait, Thomas Jane, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham, Nick Tarabay and Frankie Adams. Elizabeth Mitchell (LOST) and David Strathairn (Alphas) also joined the Season 3 cast in recurring roles.

The Expanse will return to Amazon Prime in 2019.
