Bad Boys 3 now titled Bad Boys For Lif3, will start shooting in January

November 18, 2018 by Gary Collinson

After several years of rumours, script rewrites, delayed release dates and false starts, both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence confirmed earlier this month that they are officially on board to reprise their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett for a third Bad Boys movie.

Bad Boys 3 is being directed by Adi El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Gangsta), and with a release date set for January 2020 we now have word from Production Weekly that filming on the threequel – now apparently going by the title Bad Boys For Lif3 – is set to get underway on January 14th 2019, shooting in Atlanta and Miami through to April 11th.

Although unconfirmed, an alleged synopsis surfaced earlier this summer, which reads:

The film will see Lawrence’s character Marcus Burnett working as a private eye after a falling out with Smith’s Mike Lowery, who is going through a midlife crisis as a bachelor who finally wants to mature, all while dealing with a new a young and cocky partner who is loyal to Lowery but that loyalty is not reciprocated, and finds bond with Burnett when he returns to the fray. Lowery and Burnett are brought together again when a lean, mean, skilled, Albanian mercenary with a vendetta puts a death order on Lowery and Burnett for the death of his brother. Now the two must work together once again to bring him down.

Are you excited to see Smith and Lawrence teaming up once again? And what do you make of the Bad Boys for Lif3 title? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
