Chris Hemsworth shares behind-the-scenes photos from kidnap thriller Dhaka

November 10, 2018 by Gary Collinson

With cameras now rolling on Dhaka, actor Chris Hemsworth has taken to social media to share some behind-the-scenes images from the set of the kidnap thriller, which marks the directorial debut of Sam Hargrave, second unit director and stunt coordinator on Avengers: Infinity War.

Week one down here in India. By far some of the most intense action sequences I’ve been apart of and the heat certainly adds an edge to it but damn we’re getting good stuff!! gonna be unreal. The first shot is of our director, the insanely talented Sam Hargrave 👍👍🤙🤙 #Netflix pic.twitter.com/Ws04AwrID1

Produced by Avengers directors Anthony and Joe Russo, with the latter penning the script, Dhaka sees Hemsworth playing Tyler Rake, a mercenary with a death wish who is tasked with rescuing a kidnapped Indian boy being held by drug lords in Dhaka, one of the world’s most impenetrable cities.

As yet there’s no word on a release date for Dhaka, but it is expected to arrive on Netflix at some point in 2019.
