Zombieland 2 adds Zoey Deutch alongside original cast

November 28, 2018 by Ricky Church

As pre-production continues for Zombieland 2, we have our first word of additional casting for the film. Zoey Deutch (Before I Fall) will be starring alongside the original cast of Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin with Ruben Fleischer returning to the director’s chair. Deutch will reportedly portray a love interest to Eisenberg’s Columbus.

In Zombieland 2, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are returning to pen the sequel and serve as executive producers with Gavin Polone also returning to produce. The film, which comes from SonyPictures, will begin shooting in January in Georgia for an October 11th, 2019 release date.
