Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book win big at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the winners of the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards last night, with Bohemian Rhapsody named Best Motion Picture – Drama and Green Book claiming the top honour for Musical or Comedy.

Rami Malek was also named Best Actor – Drama for his role as Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic, while other acting awards went to Glenn Close (Best Actress – Drama for The Wife), Olivia Colman (Best Actress – Musical or Comedy for The Favourite), Christian Bale (Best Actor – Musical or Comedy for Vice), Regina King (Best Supporting Actress for If Beale Street Could Talk) and Mahershala Ali (Best Supporting Actor for Green Book).

On the TV side of things, there were wins for The Americans (Best Television Series – Drama), The Kominsky Method (Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy) and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (Best Television Limited Series).
