Dwayne Johnson announces start of production on Jumanji 3

Dwayne Johnson has announced on Instagram that filming is underway on the as-yet-untitled Jumanji 3, the follow-up to Sony’s smash-hit 2017 blockbuster Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Plot details on Jumanji 3 are being kept under wraps, but we do know that the film will reunite Welcome to the Jungle director Jake Kasdan with returning stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman and Morgan Turner, while new additions to the cast include Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians), Danny DeVito (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon).

Jumanji 3 is set for release on December 13th of this year.
