In addition to Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor, this coming Sunday’s episode of Supergirl, entitled ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou!’, will see the debut of James Olsen’s sister Kelly, played by Azie Tesfai (Jane the Virgin), and now comes word that the actress will be joining the show full time as a series regular for season five.
Via Deadline, the official character description for Tesfai’s Kelly reads: “An intelligent and insightful woman who spent time in the military in order to pay for medical school, Kelly has recently discharged from the military and is currently finishing her training as a psychiatrist.”

Supergirl, which stars Melissa Benoist in the title role, was recently renewed by The CW alongside fellow DC shows Black Lightning, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, with the latter receiving a shortened order for an eighth and final season.
