Brian O’Halloran’s Dante Hicks returning for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot

March 2, 2019 by Gary Collinson

We may not have got to see Clerks III, but Brian O’Halloran’s Dante Hicks and the Quick Stop convenience store are set to make their return to the big screen  in the upcoming Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, with Kevin Smith taking to Twitter to mark the end of the first week’s filming on his new movie by sharing an image of himself alongside his Clerks star.

We’re not even supposed to be here today! It’s the end of Week 1 on #JayAndSilentBobReboot! Many thanks to my cast and #NewOrleans crew for a killer start to the show! And special thanks to @BrianCOHalloran for being there for all 26 years of my cinematic Jersey journey! pic.twitter.com/jCWfrracJ4

The last we saw of Dante at the end of Clerks II, he’d purchased the Quick Stop and RST Video with his pal Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson). Given that Anderson turned down the opportunity to return for Clerks III, it remains to be seen whether Randal will be back for the new film, although hopefully Smith will have been able to convince him to make a cameo.

Meanwhile, Smith also shared a first look image of Jay(and Silent Bob to his Instagram account…

In addition to Smith and Jason Mewes, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot will also see the return of Jason Lee as Mallrats‘ Brodie Bruce, and is expected to feature a host of familiar View Askewniverse characters, along with cameos “from the worlds of movies, TV, music, and podcasting” – including several cast members from The CW’s DC show The Flash.
