Mortal Kombat 11’s time bending storyline revealed in new trailer

March 6, 2019 by Andrew Newton

A new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 has been released introducing an original, time bending storyline that will see the rich history of the Mortal Kombat collide and past and present characters join the fight.  Watch this new trailer below…

In Mortal Kombat 11 Raiden has defeated the evil Elder God, Shinnok, but this has angered Kronika, the Keeper of Time and Architect of the Destiny of the Universe.  Unlike Raiden who is determined to destroy any potentially evil threat to Earthrealm, Kronika has a desire to keep good and evil in balance and the only way she sees this balance as being possible is to rewind time to the beginning.  It will be up to players to take on the role of various of past and present characters and defeat Shao Khan’s Outworld armies and solve this temporal mess up.

Three playable characters have also been revealed, these are:

  • Cassie Cage – a commander of an elite Special Forces unit and daughter of  Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage.
  • Jacqui Briggs is a competitive fighter trained in kickboxing and martial arts who believes her duty is to protect Earthrealm and her family, regardless of risk.
  • Erron Black is an outlaw selling his sharpshooter services to the highest bidder while dressed in classic western Outworld attire.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on 23rd April.
